This is false as far as the addictive effects of coffee. Either that or I personally can’t get addicted to it. I drink coffee if I feel a need for a hot drink for my throat, but I’ve never NEEDED a cup of coffee. I still haven’t been able to find what I would call a good cup of coffee. Sometimes I feel the need to just forgo coffee altogether. I also can’t stand to have a hot sugary drink in the morning. That repulses me. When I do, I just want a hot cup of coffee with nothing in it. I always take mine black.
